Holy Week

During Holy Week we had a meeting each evening in church to think about Christ's last week on Earth as a man. It was very meaningful to hear readings from the Old Testament pointing to the coming of Christ and then New Testament scriptures telling of His teachings and His ministry as He waited for that Passover. Each evening, different symbols representing the Holy week events were placed at the cross which was made from the trunk of the Christmas tree we had in church. It was very poignant to follow in His footsteps with Him through the week, and then when Friday came, to realize that He went to the Cross alone on behalf of each one of us.He went …so that we don't have to.
